My job is to HELP YOU SEE what's going on at your jobsite!
Liesen Communications has combined 20 year architectural drafting and design business with an extensive editorial photographic career into something new.
I recently noticed a couple things while helping hundreds of customers build their dream home in this desert oasis.
Most customers are from somewhere else! While this seems simple and obvious, it really means that when an owner signs a HALF-MILLION DOLLAR (OR MANY TIMES EVEN MORE) contract with a contractor they just met, they go home and wait for jobsite updates, phone calls, etc. from the contractor. Many times this process goes along quite naturally, but in reality, the contractors are generally not very good at communicating - they are good at building! Many times, the customer sits patiently waiting by the phone and e-mail inbox, biting their nails waiting for news from Lake Havasu.
Also, the contractors are so busy building the project that they just do not realize how long those personal contact intervals are. Many times a few weeks go by before the owner picks up the phone and begs for information about their own massive investment. Many times, the construction schedule requires 9-12 very long months and the intervals between those precious few jobsite visits that the owner can make in person to Lake Havasu over the contract term can lead to frustration and poor or mis-communication, due to those other long 'gaps' in time. Many times the customer only needs to see progress on the job.
Liesen Communications is taking advantage of easily transmittable, made-to-order information technology to become the owners eyes on the jobsite during those frustrating times of silence. Only a few years ago, film cameras took hours or days to process and print images, then the mail took forever. Decisions on jobsites need to be made sooner than that, and owners need to be kept in the loop on all of these issues to maintain their sanity and some sense of involvement or even control during this timeframe.
"Admittedly, some contractors do take advantage of camera-phones and/or e-mail their own digital pictures to their customers to help in this process, but honestly, they do not have the equipment, photographic experience, or time to do this the way it needs to be done, Liesen said. "And, sometimes a third party can lend some objectivity to a situation."
Using professional quality digital photography and the internet along with a fully flexible, made-to-order schedule, Liesen Communications can ease the wait!
Liesen Communications will visit your jobsite when you want, take pictures of what you ask for (complete with measurements if needed), and e-mail them to you within hours! Many times* images can even be transmitted directly from the jobsite instantly from the laptop computer.
The extra benefit is this - Liesen Communications is working for YOU, not the CONTRACTOR! That means that if you ask to have pictures about something which might be a little 'controversial' onsite, the photography you will receive will be complete, accurate, and plentiful! It is also timestamped and stored online or on CD's for your use.
"I am combining my extensive photographic experience with the construction knowledge of a working professional in the design and construction industry," Liesen said. "You can hire any photographer you wish to go shoot your jobsite, but I believe that I am the only one available with actual construction and building codes knowledge."
Lastly, when you move into your new home you will receive your CD or DVD of all of the photos in your Liesen Communications file. A virtual photographic documentary of hundreds of photos will tell the story of your home being built from the ground up.
"I offer a very personal service which caters to your needs, whether it is 2 site visits per month or as much as 4 times per week," Liesen said.
